Apterothrips secticornis (Trybom, 1896)

和名:-

米国(オレゴン)から記載され、日本を含む全北区に分布している。日本では本州の高山帯のイネ科から得られている。本属は2種を含み、A. apteris (Daniel, 1904)は米国(カリフォルニア)から記載され、南半球(アフリカを除く)に広く分布する。本種は腹部腹板の後縁に7個の葉状板状突起を持つのに対し、A. apterisは5個の板状突起を持つことで識別できる。

This species was described from USA (Oregon) and is widely distributed in the Nearctic region including Japan. In Japan, it has been collected from Poaceae in the Alpine zone of Honshu. This genus includes two species. Another species, A. apteris (Daniel, 1904) was described from USA (California), but it is widely distributed in the southern hemisphere except Africa. This species can be distinguished from A. apteris by having 7 lobed posteromarginal craspeda on the abdominal sternites, in contrast 5 lobed posteromarginal craspeda in A. apteris.
